Breast Cancer Awareness month traces back to 1985, its a subject that touches the lives of many towards their commitment to early detection and treatment. Breast cancer is a type of cancer that forms in the cells in the breast, mainly in women. Early detection in inital stages can help enhance the chances of survival. As we begin this month, here are some key facts about breast cancer.

  3. Risk Factors: While anyone can develop breast cancer, certain risk factors can increase your likelihood, such as family history, age, gender, and genetic mutations (e.g., BRCA1 and BRCA2).

  4. Awareness Saves Lives: Breast cancer awareness campaigns have played a significant role in educating people about the importance of early detection. The earlier breast cancer is detected, the better the chances of successful treatment and survival.
